Papua New Guinea – Garagassi Point

Garagassi Point in Papua New Guinea, a famous site where “first contact” (1870) was made by Miklukho Maklai and his shack-residence of three years. Look about 40 kilometers down the coast here, and you would find Buff village, where Brian, Helen and David, first lived on the Rai Coast with the Saep people. I never tire of the views of this place as Brian fly on business from Ukarumpa in the Highlands, to Madang Town on the coast using a small Cessna 206 airplane. South and East of Madang, Astrolab Bay, Rai Coast. November, 2010.

The photo is from Brian Chapaitis. He and his wife are enjoying and serving the people of Papua New Guinea. Their web site is at: bchapaitis.org
