Let Heaven Break Through – New Song and Prayer – 4k Music Video

Let Heaven Break Through,  a new song and prayer based on the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew chapter six of the Bible.  In the phrase of the Lord’s prayer “Your will be done on earth as in heaven” means to pray what is in the heavens to the earth. In the heavens God is fully in control. Jesus taught us to pray this prayer. So pray let heaven break through and let God break through. This is a wonderful prayer when we get hit with all kinds of situations as we live our daily life.

Prayer: Father, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Please bring heaven to the earth, Let Heaven Break Through.

The Lyrics are:

Title: A Prayer, Let Heaven Break Through

Let Heaven break through
Let God break through
So pray and pray let God come in
Let heaven rule upon earth
Thy will in heaven, come to the earth
Thy will be done on earth as in heaven
Let Heaven break through

Let Heaven break through
Let God break through
So pray and pray let God come in
Let heaven rule upon earth
Thy will in heaven, come to the earth
Thy kingdom come, Thy kingdom come
Let Heaven break through

Let Heaven break through
Thy will be done, thy kingdom come
On earth as in heaven
Let Heaven break through

Prayer that Works

James talks about Elijah, who had learned how to pray “prayer that works“. God answered his prayers. But Elijah had to learn to pray.

The Bible scripture is James 5:16-18
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. 17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. 18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

Let us not give up in learning how to pray. Jesus knew how to pray, and so His disciples asked Him how to pray. Abraham, Moses, David, Jesus, Peter, Paul, and the apostle John all learned how to pray.

Thy Kingdom Come – from John Calvin

The Lord's Prayer - Thy Kingdom Come

Beautiful scenery – The Lord’s Prayer – Thy Kingdom Come

This is a great prayer quote from John Calvin on the phrase  “Thy Kingdom Come” in the Lord’s Prayer.  Prayer is required to bring in the Kingdom of God.  The Kingdom is God’s rule over an area or situation. Don’t forget God owns the earth and the universe. God created the earth  to declare His glory.

There is still another way in which God reigns; and that is, when he overthrows his enemies, and compels them, with Satan their head, to yield a reluctant subjection to his authority, “till they all be made his footstools” ( Hebrews  10:13 .) The substance of this prayer is, that God would enlighten the world by the light of his Word, — would form the hearts of men, by the influences of his Spirit, to obey his justice, and would restore to order, by the gracious exercise of his power, all the disorder that exists in the world. Now, he commences his reign by subduing the desires of our flesh. Again, as the kingdom of God is continually growing and advancing to the end of the world, we must pray every day that it may come: for to whatever extent iniquity abounds in the world, to such an extent the kingdom of God, which brings along with it perfect righteousness, is not yet come.  – from the John Calvin Commentary.

The Lord’s Prayer – The Sermon on the Mount

The Lord's Prayer given within the Sermon on Mount maybe given on the west side of the Sea of Galilee

The Lord’s Prayer, a Bible Prayer, was given in the Sermon on Mount. Jesus may have given this talk on the north-west side of the Sea of Galilee, Israel.

Here is another Bible Prayer, a model prayer, an example prayer for us to follow.
The Lord’s Prayer was given by Jesus while teaching on the Sermon on Mount. The supposed  location is on the north-west side of the Sea of Galilee.

The Lord’s Prayer is in Matthew chapter 6, the sermon on the mount is in chapters 5, 6 and 7.  So the model prayer was given within this three chapter sermon on the mount. The main points of the prayer is the following short quick points: Thy Name, Thy Kingdom, Thy Will,  daily bread, forgive and keep us from evil.

The passage on the Lord’s prayer is right in the middle of the Jesus Christ giving the three chapter sermon on the mount.  The location is supposed to be on the north-west side of the Sea of Galilee, Israel as shown in the picture above.

See several articles on the Lord’s Prayer on this blog

The large building in the picture above is the Church of the Beatitudes or Sermon on the Mount Church. The church was built by the Byzantines. This is considered the traditional location of the sermon on the mount.

Matthew 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

The Lord’s prayer is a model prayer. It has two sections: towards God and toward man. In the first section towards God we learn to pray (1) in His name, (2) for His Kingdom, and (3) for His will.

When we take care of God, He takes care of us. Consider the verse in Matthew 6:33
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” There is quite a promise here, we seek the Kingdom, that is take care of God’s interests and He (God) helps us.

The Lord’s Teaching on Prayer – top key points

Matthew 6:10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. This is  a key part of the Lord’s prayer in Matthew six where Jesus is teaching His disciples a wonderful teaching on prayer.  Notice the word “your” before the words “kingdom” and “will“.    This is a key passage on the spiritual warfare for God’s kingdom and will. God’s kingdom is the place where God is in full control.

The Lord’s Prayer (1) – Our Father who is in heaven…

I want to read a passage out of the book of Matthew. It says, “Pray, then, in this way. Our Father who is in heaven, may Your name be sanctified. May Your Kingdom come. May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. And supply us today what we need and forgive us our wrongs as we forgive the wrongs of others. Do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” This is a prayer, or I would say a model prayer, given by the Lord Jesus. Well, today on this program, In the Beginning, we want to cover this prayer and we want to cover some principles regarding prayer in the Bible.

The context for this prayer if after Jesus’ disciples asked Him, “How do you pray?” What do you do when you pray?” Jesus covers several points. He says, first of all, “Don’t pray like the hypocrites.” In other words, don’t pray like people who are praying because they want attention or they want to look spiritual or religious, and so on like that. Secondly, He says when you pray don’t use vain repetitions. In other words, don’t just repeat something over and over again; thinking that by repeating it you are going to get some kind of favor from God. No, repetition doesn’t gain favor from God. Now that doesn’t mean you can’t take a portion of the Bible or a certain prayer that is your favorite and say it over and over again. No, it is talking about vain repetition. In other words, if what you are saying and what you are praying is not coming from your heart, and how you feel, and your desires, then that is not real prayer. Jesus then gives what people call the model prayer or the Lord’s Prayer. It has different names. Just before that prayer, Jesus told them that your Father already knows what you need before you pray. You might ask the question, “Then why do we pray?” Well, we get into that in just a minute. Let’s read again from the book of Matthew. “Our Father, Who is in heaven, may Your name be sanctified. May Your Kingdom come. May Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.” Then He says, “Give us today, Father, what we need for today. Forgive us our wrongs as we forgive the wrongs of others.” Then He says, “Don’t lead us into temptation but deliver us from evil.”

Now when you get into this prayer you have to ask a couple questions. When Jesus talks about prayer in the book of John, especially in chapters 14, 15, 16, and 17, He mentions the phrase, “Ask in My name” six times. In the book of Matthew He doesn’t say it that way. He uses this model prayer, what we call the Lord’s Prayer. In the book of John you don’t have that prayer. In the book of John (and John is a book of life), He says, “Ask in My name”. In fact, in John 14-17, He says it six times, but He does not say this in the book of Matthew. If you study the whole book of Matthew, you will see that Matthew is a book on the Kingdom. The Kingdom relates to a king, and the King is Jesus Christ. And the Kingdom that He is reigning over, or should be reigning over is us, God’s people. Now in the book of Matthew He doesn’t say, “Ask in My name”. Instead He gives this kind of prayer. Now why does He give this kind of prayer? This prayer, the Lord’s prayer I would call it, is really a prayer for spiritual warfare. You see there is a fight or battle going on here. You could say there is a fight between good and evil. You could say there is a fight between things that are positive and negative.
